This song has two parts, both written by mystic saint poet Namdev from the Bhakti movement. The first half of this song is set to tune by my Guru Sri Ramamoorthy Rao in the Raag Rasiya. The second half is set to tune by his Guru, the legendary Pandit Bhimsen Joshi.
This song was my fire test when I played it to my Guru Sri Ramamoorthy Rao! When he listened to it, he said, "Vedanth, it feels like I got transported to Pandharpur...". That was the sign I was waiting for and went ahead with the rest of the album and knew I was in the right path.
